Bookings are arrests, not convictions. Everyone is presumed innocent.

Excludes warrants, probation violations, holds for other agencies, public drinking/open container charges, and bookings listing no fixed address (homeless/transient).

How we count: one jail booking counts once for each charge it carries. A booking with a felony and a misdemeanor appears in both lists. Felony or misdemeanor is the degree Florida law gives the charge as it was booked at the jail, not the charge later filed or how the case ended. County and city ordinance violations are counted with misdemeanors. Charges that cannot be classified with confidence are left out of both lists.
