In plain English
Federal court in Miami is not one building but three, all in downtown Miami and all sharing one phone number, (305) 523-5100. The Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. U.S. Courthouse is at 400 North Miami Avenue. The C. Clyde Atkins U.S. Courthouse is across the street at 301 North Miami Avenue. The James Lawrence King Federal Justice Building is at 99 N.E. Fourth Street. Check which building your paperwork names before you go.
The Clerk's Office is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on regular business days, and phone customer service runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring a picture ID: the court says one is required to enter any of its courthouses. The court also links a page on prohibited electronic devices, so check it before you bring a phone, laptop or other device.
For parking, the court says there are public lots, with fees charged, within walking distance. Jurors get separate parking instructions through a link on the page. If you take Metrorail, the court says to exit at Government Center station and ride the Inner Loop Metromover to the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. Station, the first stop.
