Quick facts

In plain English

The federal court's Fort Lauderdale location is the U.S. Federal Building and Courthouse, 299 East Broward Boulevard #108, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. The phone number is (954) 769-5400.

The Clerk's Office is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on regular business days, and phone customer service runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring a picture ID: the court says one is required to enter any of its courthouses. The court also links a page on prohibited electronic devices, so check it before you bring a phone, laptop or other device.

For parking, the court says there are public lots, with fees charged, within walking distance of the courthouse, and jurors get separate parking instructions through a link. Tri-Rail is a good option here: the court says to exit at the Fort Lauderdale (Broward Boulevard) station and take the shuttle bus east on Broward Boulevard to the Federal Courthouse.
