Priority Docket Division:

Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.250(a)l, states that a reasonable time for resolution of a civil case where a jury trial is demanded is 18 months and 12 months where a non-jury trial is selected. Cases that have exceeded the reasonable time standards established in the rules have been assigned to the County Civil Priority Docket Division (“PDD”).

It is the goal of the PDD to assist parties in quickly and efficiently reaching a fair and just resolution of their cases. To that end, cases in this division will move at an accelerated pace and will have active case management from the Court until resolution. Cases in the PDD will also have expanded access to the Court as needed to assist in resolving cases.

A “Calendar Call and Trial Order” will be issued by the PDD judge. The deadlines imposed by the Calendar Call and Trial Order should be carefully reviewed and parties shall comply with that order.
